Are you looking for a Kajabi review that is concise? You’ve found the right place if you are just starting to explore the world of course creation but have trouble choosing the right platform for your goals.
I have been creating and selling courses that are based on what I have learned. I’ve even made some money doing this. The process can be a struggle, but the payoff is worth it. This includes the preparation of materials that can be put out to the public, as well as other things like sales. However, it is equally important to consider the software/program.
Kajabi is the best platform to promote my courses. I have tried a few platforms since I started. Today, I will be discussing what it is, how it works and my honest opinion after having used it for a while. Let’s begin!
For those of you who prefer a more visual experience, here is a video review from Legit Marketing Reviews’ YouTube channel. To get a comprehensive overview of Kajabi, you may still want to check out our article below.
What is Kajabi? Kajabi Discus
Kajabi, an online course-building platform, is well-known for being a one-stop shop and the place to go for all your course business needs. If building and selling content for profit is your goal or forte, its outstanding variety of features and tools make it easy to get to whatever you want.
Kajabi allows you to create courses that are based on your skills and profession. However, it is an all-in-one platform, so there’s more to it than what it can offer. With Kajabi’s state-of the-art automation, you can create a membership subscription, host a coaching program, or even run a podcast. You can also send newsletter e-mails directly to your customers.
Kajabi is very easy to use. For a platform as jam-packed and well-versed as it is, it’s impressive to note that its user experience manages to be as convenient and fuss-free as possible. I’ve gone to Kajabi plenty of times now, and I can say that I appreciate that I didn’t have to learn any advanced technical jargon just to use its features. No need to do some extra coding, as Kajabi handles the rest for you, saving you time and effort in the long run.
Some course builders don’t have this feature, but Kajabi offers users the ability to create websites to host their content. As there is a lot of potential in selling courses, it also offers a slew of marketing and sales tools to promote them to a wider audience. These include checkouts and payments as well as detailed analytics and integrations. This is especially useful if your content is sold as products.
It doesn’t stop there. Aside from making content and selling them efficiently, Kajabi has a rich library of resources and support that you can always fall back into anytime a problem arises. You can learn valuable information, improve your earning potential, and access a large database of videos and help articles.
From the looks of it, it’s no wonder why Kajabi has been a top pick among many content entrepreneurs. If you somehow don’t believe in it yet, then maybe this Trustpilot rating can convince you – take a look at the reviews and you’ll see more are liking it so far! Kajabi Discus
Kajabi was founded more than a decade back and has since helped to build over 100k businesses. It has also managed the creation of 300k+ products, from newsletters to courses, and earned $4 billion in sales. We can appreciate how popular this platform is in course-building. However, there are some glaring omissions like its expensive plans and lack of key features such as certifications.
Using Kajabi in a Nutshell: How It Works
Since I found this platform, I have never been happier to have Kajabi be my place to promote the skills I already know and sell them to others who are interested in learning. And to know more about how much I like it, it’s better this way if we dive deeper into how it works.

Essentially, with Kajabi, you get to do a wide variety of ways:
- You can create courses by either building them up from its offering of templates or doing it all from scratch;
- Build any kind of website to house whatever you want to showcase, whether it be a homepage/store for your course content, a landing page, a place for customers to check out, or space for you and your customers to connect; Kajabi Discus
- You can sell any product, whether it’s free, a bonus, or a subscription.
- You can use its marketing, reporting and sales functions to reach more people, from affiliates to sales funnel blueprints.
Kajabi is commonly used in two ways: to build products that will be marketed and sold in a uniquely personalized platform, and to simply create a website to host other types of content and solutions beyond courses.
I’ve personally used Kajabi for the first and primary reason why it was established in the first place – to make, host, and sell content that I’ve always been confident in putting. But, either way, its impressive capacities have created this service a leading platform for sharing new things with people from all walks of life.
Kajabi’s Pricing Plan
Kajabi currently offers three pricing options, namely:
- The Basic Plan costs just $119/month and is billed annually starting here.
- The Growth Plan, priced starting at $159/month, and
- The Pro Plan costs $319 per month.
With the Basic plan, you’re allowed to come up with three products and three sales funnels, create unlimited landing pages and marketing e-mails, gain up to 1000 active customers, and have the opportunity to create a website with hosting provided by Kajabi itself.
The Growth tier lets you explore mostly the same features as the previous one, plus upgrades such as 10,000 customers, ten admin users for one website, advanced automations, the Kajabi affiliate program, and the ability to remove all Kajabi branding from your site and courses.
Kajabi Pro continues to expand the features of the site with access the code editor. There are also level-up upgrades such as an allowance for 100 products or 100 funnels, 20,000 customers and three websites.
Unfortunately, it does not currently offer a free plan. Kajabi offers a 14-day free trial on all of its plans. If you are interested in giving it a try, this is the time to do so.
A common criticism Kajabi has received is how expensive the price range is compared to other platforms, as some offer their version of premium plans starting at a quarter or even half the price of Kajabi’s Basic tier. Kajabi’s premium plans can seem a little too expensive for those who have used them before. But based on my experience, I think I kind of empathize with the platform knowing that it went all out with its services and user experience, so it makes sense why the pricing was this way.
Kajabi’s Features – A Comprehensive Breakdown
As a one-stop place for all business and content needs, Kajabi is committed to making sure you have enough resources to step into the entrepreneurial world. You can expect more from Kajabi than you might think. Without further ado, let’s take a look at the platform’s key features and break each of them down one by one, starting with its course-creation service.
Course Management and Creation
The ability to create meaningful course content is at the heart of many full-fledged platforms that specialize in educational entrepreneurship (edupreneurship, if you will), Kajabi included. It’s not always easy to create course content. It takes weeks of meticulous brainstorming to spread the content crafted from hard work to the masses. Kajabi Discus
> > Click Here to Check Out Kajabi < <
Kajabi understands the struggle many creators often face, so that’s why it took extra steps to ensure that everything goes according to plan, all while easing the difficulties most individuals can relate to. Kajabi provides a space for its users where they can create powerful courses while also having all the tools they need to expand their reach. This includes how to get more subscribers using convincing teasers and sharing what they know with unique ways to keep them coming back.
Courses and Products
According to Kajabi, products can refer to any digital course that you are bound to take. You can also use it to refer to other forms of the course content. Some similar platforms simply refer to these products as courses due to their educational nature. Kajabi on the other hand, understands the importance of the term. It’s not only the amount of knowledge that goes into making a product feasible, but also how it sells to people around the world.
As of this writing, Kajabi offers seven different types of products. Each is available as a blueprint, or template, that you can generate and edit right away once you’ve selected one. One of those is an Online Course in which you’re allowed to create a content-filled course with as many lessons and media files and as much information as possible. Another is a Blank Blueprint, where you can start from scratch and add anything you want.
Apart from the main course and blank template, other product blueprints offered by Kajabi include:
- Mini-courses – for whenever you want to produce a quick, easy-to-digest course as a freebie or bonus, something to build extra value for your brand and anticipation for what’s to come
- Evergreen Training – also known as Drip Courses, gives you a strategic framework that sees course lessons released periodically, preferably over a series of weeks
- The Coaching Program is designed by Wall Street bestseller Brendan Burchard. It allows you to create a 12-week coaching program to help you improve your skills.
- Membership – This is for when all of your content needs are met in one platform that your subscribers can access at any time.
- For when you want to make a community where your members can share their thoughts and ideas about your courses, and other matters.
The Course Building Process
Once you have chosen your preferred product template, it is time to start building your course. Add whatever else is needed. Whether you do it from scratch or tailor it from an existing template, the next best thing you must do is incorporate all the knowledge and skills you’ve collected through the years into an information-enriched course.
Kajabi’s page for course builders will allow you to explore many customization and editing options. You may add the title of the course as well as the sections that make up the course, upload a thumbnail or poster image that suits what you’re aiming and adjust the flow of your entire outline.
You can also upload downloadable PDFs and attach media files. Bulk uploads are possible using cloud storage software. You can also use Kajabi’s course creator to create clones and add announcements within your course to keep students interested.
The Course Framework
The sections of a Kajabi course are called categories. Lessons placed under these categories are called posts. A product’s category may contain a placeholder for subtopics that are related to the main topic. The same can be said for posts, the subtopics of the primary one are replaced with lessons under each subtopic.
Kajabi allows you to add categories to the posts. This is especially useful if you have a large curriculum and want to break it down into manageable parts that your students can understand.
> > Click Here to Check Out Kajabi < <
Kajabi allows you to choose whether the product’s contents are released periodically or simultaneously. You can choose to release the content of Drip Courses within a few days, or even one week, depending on how long you want. The Lock feature can be used to prevent students from accessing any category until they have completed a prerequisite.
Exploring Kajabi’s Course Player
For every course, there needs to be a place where they can be presented for anyone to see, click, and go further – and an attractive one, too. Kajabi’s Course Player feature provides a platform that allows you to store and display your products to students who have subscribed. The customization capabilities extend beyond the courses themselves and into the course player, encouraging a better learning experience for everyone involved.
Kajabi offers over 10 themes for default course players. In other platforms, you may notice most may have only three themes or only one in-store. Comparing that to Kajabi’s larger range will immediately show the difference. It has more options. While Kajabi may seem too expensive for many, we can still appreciate the privilege it offers us. Kajabi Discus
You can choose from any of the course theme themes and customize it as you wish. Kajabi values convenience above all else, so you don’t have to know how to code to make your course player look great. Or, if you’re better equipped with web design skills, you may opt to upload your fully-personalized theme instead!
Instructor-Student Interactions and Assessments
Communication is crucial to student success and an opportunity to earn the trust of the instructor. Kajabi offers many ways for members and you to interact. The Community feature is one of these. You can offer it as a separate product or as part of your membership package. It functions like a social media page where you and your subscribers write, see who’s online, share posts, and make comments relating to the lessons you’ve put out. Another comes in the form of comments under every lesson – you may choose to manage, hide, or even disable them altogether.
Assessments are a great way to keep your members interested. This involves creating quizzes that reflect the lessons they’ve learned to stimulate their brains. You can use a variety of questions when creating an assessment. These could include multiple-choice questions or paragraph fill-ins. You may even set a passing score to encourage your students to do better… or don’t at all if you’re not into giving them more pressure.
As great as Kajabi’s assessment feature may seem, it’s a bit apparent that it may fall short a bit when it comes to delivery. Compared to other course-building services, Kajabi seems to be one of the few that don’t offer native certification tools. I don’t mind about it as much, but for those who like to give out certificates, you may be out of luck in this one. This one asset would have been a great way to reward students for their accomplishments, such as finishing the course.
Website Building Tools
Kajabi’s ability to provide powerful, yet easy tools for creating websites is another important aspect. Kajabi’s built-in website builder allows you to create and customize your website without having to rely on third-party providers. As expected, the platform provides free hosting on all plans to have your visions come to life!
The Kajabi website builder is also easy to navigate, although there are times when the interface can be a bit confusing. Drag-and-drop is available for the editor. However, it is not what you would expect. Instead of “drag/drop the blocks/widgets out of the menu and place them in the workspace”, you can drag sections of a page from top to bottom from the left-hand navigation menu. The workspace will then reflect the changes.
Website Design and Customization
With Kajabi’s website builder, you get to select from 14 of its exclusive themes, (eight updated regular themes and six legacy ones) complete with a full set of pages to make your process as smooth as possible. Once you’ve found the theme of choice for your website, you may go ahead and customize it however you want based on your flow or vision. Kajabi Discus
This can be done by adding or removing each page’s construction blocks. These include many types of content like text and font styles as well as media widgets, pricing and offers, FAQs and testimonials. You may even incorporate countdown widgets, fill-in forms, social media content, and even call-to-action buttons to catch the audience’s attention.
The customization doesn’t stop there with building blocks, as Kajabi offers a few alternative ways to personalize your website. You can adjust the theme settings tab to make your website more personal or fit the needs of your business. With it, you may change the site’s default typography, icons, color scheme, or even the background of a whole page to a different color or profile.
Another is simply uploading a fully customized theme that’s not part of Kajabi’s library, just like you would with the Course Player. Kajabi allows you to connect your custom domain to the site you have just created. The platform may already have a default domain prepared for you, but if you’re looking forward to maximizing your business without the Kajabi branding, you can by connecting to a domain purchased from a third-party platform like GoDaddy.
The Types of Pages You Need for Your Website
As already mentioned, a common Kajabi website theme is composed of pre-made pages that link to each other even as you click on them. These pages include the home page that explains the basics of your business, the library where you can store all your Kajabi content, and a place where customers can buy your products.
> > Click Here to Check Out Kajabi < <
For every Kajabi-optimized theme, you have the option to delete or add any page you like. You have more options than just landing and home pages. These include a log-in page and thank-you screen, portfolio, FAQ and policies pages. You can also create a blog page if blogging is part of your specialty or skill. This allows you to compile all your published posts into an archive that readers have access to at any time.
Blogging Capabilities
Kajabi’s built-in blogging function allows you to publish posts to your blog and make them visible to everyone. Blogs can be used to publish articles on a wide range of topics. Well, Kajabi’s version has much of the same purpose.
Kajabi’s blog tools can be used to update your readers on products and content that you are planning to release. Kajabi Discus
It functions similarly to that of well-recognized blogging platforms such as WordPress – you type in the words you want to say, the media files and links you want to share, and the tags for which you think your post is more appropriate. Once everything’s ready, you may have the option to either publish it immediately, post it as unlisted, or set a schedule to save time. Kajabi’s blogging feature may not have the same dynamic prowess as WordPress’s, but it’s functional enough for anyone to use.
Marketing, sales, and CRM
Your brand’s reputation can be affected by how you market your products. An effective marketing strategy has a better chance for your creations to gain clout and revenue. Otherwise, a poorly-organized one may lead to low to zero turnouts. Kajabi provides a comprehensive suite of sales and marketing tools that will help you maximize your product’s potential and make it easy to sell. It is also surprising to me that it outperforms other top competitors in this field.
Convenient Sales Pipelines
A well-designed sales funnel could lead to better opportunities for your business, but designing one can be quite a struggle, especially if you’re not that well-versed in marketing stuff. Kajabi’s pre-made, well-designed pipelines are ready to use and customizable. There are 14 templates in total, seven of which are default and seven for legacy templates.
Each one is tailored to your product promotion needs. You may give away freebies to your potential subscribers to keep them interested, show your courses in a way they can be tempted to purchase, coach them, or hold a Zoom meeting. Sales pipeline blueprints are a big help in generating leads and increasing traffic leading to my content, and I honestly have never been glad to be able to use them.
As with some popular course platforms that have this feature, Kajabi’s collection sales pipelines are convenient and straightforward, plus it requires zero expert skills to get things right as the blueprint is automatically laid out for you. A Kajabi sales funnel contains cards, which, in turn, contain pages, automations, and sequences that your customers will be greeted upon.
E-mail Marketing and Automations
Sending e-mails is a fail-proof marketing strategy that businesses of all types use, whether it be to promote new releases from musical artists or to share updates on new and on-sale items from your favorite retailers. The same can be said for courses and other learning materials – Kajabi’s built-in e-mail marketing feature helps keep your members and potential customers highly engaged with the content you’ve released.
There are two types of e-mail campaigns you might want to explore: e-mail broadcasts for whenever you want to send a single e-mail related to your courses to your subscribers (like a newsletter), and sequences where you create messages to be sent based on the user’s activity via automations. It may seem familiar to some, but it can be a time-saver for those who don’t know much about e-mail automations. Kajabi Discus
Automations generally exist to ease the burden of your duties – in this case, you wouldn’t have to manually send e-mails as you can schedule them corresponding to students’ actions. With Kajabi’s e-mail sequencing feature, all you’d need to do is create messages, choose when to have them sent, tag any of your subscribers who meet a certain condition and into different categories, and you’re all set.
You can create e-mails in Kajabi, as well as automations and campaigns. The platform has a variety of templates that you can choose and use, and its e-mail editor allows you to edit how you want it to look the same way you’d do with website pages – tweak the hierarchy of your building blocks from top to bottom, add sections, and, if you have an eye for design, switch up the color palette and upload images to further set the mood.

CRM for managing members
It can be difficult to manage individuals who have subscribed to your courses. This is especially true if the platform you use for this purpose is not stable. Thankfully, most course management services have functional CRM (customer relationship management) tools that they can rely on to keep your students on track, Kajabi included.
Kajabi’s CRM section, also known by its term People if you sign in, allows you to check on the activities of your members from afar. You can see who bought your products, who subscribed to your membership and track their progress. You can also see who has been inactive longer.
Check out the profile of one of your students to learn more about them. Here you can see the student’s life, how long they have been enrolled in your course, and detailed information such as when and where they signed up. Kajabi’s People feature can be useful in checking who has performed poorly and giving them a boost with feedback notes and, if necessary, a few freebies to get them back on track.
Kajabi’s CRM features go beyond the People dashboard. Course assessments and affiliate management are included in the bundle. The former has been discussed in detail before, but the latter is something we are about to discover.
Kajabi Affiliate Program
As a way of expanding its reach, a successful business can recruit affiliates. Limited only to users in the Growth and Pro plans, the Kajabi Affiliate Program offers them a handful of resources needed to transform their members into trustworthy affiliates of your brand. Essentially, all it takes is for you to convince your most proactive students to join the program, and they may get a share of your earnings as a benefit!
With Kajabi Affiliates, not only could you get to build a stronger following. Your chances of increasing your conversion rate and generating more clicks could be higher with Kajabi Affiliates. This one might be useful if you are already a professional in your industry. You can track and manage your affiliates, and see how they are doing. Kajabi Discus
You can send them links to share, track how many clicks they have, track potential sales and even kick one out if they aren’t satisfied. To encourage members to sign up and share announcements, you can create an affiliate onboarding page. This will allow you to generate links to any website, not just Kajabi.
Sales, Payments, and Accurate Analytics
Many course management companies take a small percentage, too much, or even half of the profits you make from selling courses. Kajabi ensures that you get the money you make from selling courses. Kajabi is my favorite platform because I can keep 100% of the revenue I make from selling my products. This gave me a tremendous morale boost, which I don’t get from other platforms.
While I can understand why they needed to make cuts to maintain their business model, it is a problem for edupreneurs who want to grow and are keen to improve. Fortunately, Kajabi has a solution to further let them grow, even despite the high price range. Apart from the benefit of keeping all your earnings to yourself, you can also manage how you handle refunds. Kajabi isn’t that strict when it comes to this issue, giving its users the chance to do whatever they want – they can either let their members have access to their content even after requesting a refund or otherwise.
Kajabi provides native integrations to the payment gateways Stripe and PayPal. Stripe takes care of primarily credit and debit cards as well as e-wallet providers, and there’s no need to explain further about PayPal since it’s a very common mode of payment online. You may have to pay service fees for the payment gateway that you use. Technically, your revenue would be deducted, but not significantly.
Want to gain in-depth insights to help improve your business? Kajabi’s reporting and analytics features are just two ways you can do this. The analytics has ratings, charts, and graphs that clearly show how your courses are doing so far, with accuracy close to a T. Meanwhile, you can explore a list of reporting options to choose from and view, from net revenue and sales performance to website views and subscription metrics. You can print and export all data from these features to other platforms. Kajabi Discus
Customer Service and Support
It’s not just a rich array of features that make Kajabi stand out. It equally shines when it comes to customer support, which has amassed an overwhelmingly positive reception among many who have used the platform to make business.
For example, the hotlines for customer service are a reliable way for customers to get assistance immediately or for any questions. If you’re too shy to ask, you can always explore Kajabi’s expansive library of learning resources to guide you along the way. We have a lot of useful stuff to look through. Let’s go over each one.
On-demand Customer Service Teams
Kajabi’s customer service team is divided into chat support and ticket support. The chat support service, which is backed by marketing and course creation experts, can be accessed by all users, regardless of their plan type. The only difference is the time it’s available. Those under the Basic plan can only access the chat feature during office hours. Growth and Pro users, meanwhile, get to utilize it 24 hours a day, seven days a week. No matter what type of plan you use, rest assured that, if you have any inquiries about the service, you are guaranteed to receive a concise answer in as fast as 15 minutes. Kajabi Discus
If you don’t feel like chatting or want to be distracted, you can submit a request ticket. You can simply enter the inquiry that you are interested in, the appropriate category, your email address and attachments and send them all to Kajabi. Within a few hours, you will receive an email from the customer service team in your inbox.
Kajabi Help Center
Kajabi’s Help Center offers unlimited access and allows you to reach out to other people online in real-time. Kajabi Discus
It’s divided into many topics to assist you in getting started. It is filled with videos, photos, and articles that are rich with valuable and informative information. These include details on how to set up your website, create an effective sales funnel pipeline, and navigate through your account dashboard.

Kajabi Access
Kajabi Access is one of Kajabi’s most recent offerings. It gives entrepreneurs support and guidance to help them succeed in their industry. It is available as an add-on to any existing plan for only $99/month. Although the price is higher than those of the other tiers, we know enough about Kajabi to say that it’s worth it. Kajabi Discus
With Kajabi Access, you’ll be able to hold one-on-one calls with Kajabi’s experts, though you’ll get to only do it six times a year. You’ll get twice the product and funnel allowances, weekly Hero Hub sessions, early access to Kajabi’s latest features and products, and an additional bonus.
Kajabi University
Similar to Kajabi Access, Kajabi University is a jam-packed learning source geared toward guiding fresh entrepreneurs with tips and tricks on how to run a successful business. While the former achieves it mainly through intimate encounters with bona fide experts and noteworthy upgrades, the latter does it by letting you sift through a rich library of informative courses that you can enroll in – and download – at any time. Kajabi Discus
Kajabi University’s content is broken down into specific boot camps, how-to guides sets, difficulty levels, as well as niche topics. These courses last anywhere from six to four hours and can be as short as six minutes long. Each course covers a variety of topics necessary for Kajabi, from a beginner’s guide to creating your first video lesson to a slew of marketing methods hosted by real-life professionals.
Webinars, Meet-ups, and a Community of Heroes
One of my favorite things I’ve learned about Kajabi since I came across it for the first time is that it champions the community of the people who have helped build the platform from the ground up, even more than some of the other course-building services out there. And it does so in a way similar to how it champions user convenience and accommodations to leverage the standing of its users. Kajabi Discus
Kajabi offers entrepreneurs from all walks of life a variety of outlets where they can interact with one another – and inspire each other to be at their very best. Such ways include live and on-demand webinars featuring talks from and discussions with experts and distinguished guests, virtual meet-ups where fellow Kajabi creators can connect and share pieces of advice, and exclusive access to the official private Facebook community of Kajabi Heroes. Kajabi Discus
Speaking of Kajabi Heroes, it’s worth noting that, apart from the online interactions, Kajabi takes it seriously when it comes to giving its user base the best it has to offer – not just figuratively, but literally. Kajabi affectionately calls each customer who uses the platform to achieve success a “Hero.” The Hero Rewards program allows Hero’s to receive gifts and other freebies right at their doorstep once they have reached certain milestones. These include a stationery set, clothing merch, accessories such as bags, reusable cups and mugs, and even honorary badges!
Kajabi’s Pros and Cons
You may be already impressed with the number of options the Kajabi platform offers. While it has some noteworthy weaknesses and falls a bit short in terms of some aspects, those, thankfully, don’t greatly overpower its strengths. Let’s take a look at all Kajabi’s benefits and drawbacks!
The Pros:
- It has a sleek and well-organized general user interface, resulting in a robust and fully functional experience for those who navigate it
- It’s convenient, flexible, and almost entirely easy to use – from the course and website building to payments
- It offers free website hosting on top of letting you create a fully-functioning one, something a couple of course management platforms cannot provide
- It houses a plethora of excellent in-house tools from marketing down to user management – this minimizes the need to integrate with third-party apps
- Its customization capabilities can be used to create custom solutions that are both simple and robust.
- You’d pay no service fees and it would take zero percent of your profits.
- It provides a social media-esque feed where you and your members can interact and communicate with one another
- It shines in its reliable customer support system and information-rich learning resource library
- It prioritizes its user base community over all other features.
> > Click Here to Check Out Kajabi < <
The Cons
- It is more expensive than other course-building platforms. This is due to the fact that it uses a different business model and framework. The user doesn’t have to be burdened by it.
- It does not have a native tool for recognizing students. It also lacks assessment features, such as the inability of setting the length of each question or uploading question files.
- It lacks advanced features like custom tracking for affiliates and inventory tracking, but it does have a management feature.
- Though flexible and easy to use as the interface may seem, some of its functions may be confusing to use at times
Alternatives to Kajabi
When I first stepped into the world of educational entrepreneurship, it took me a very thorough research period, plus skillful thinking strategies, to find the course management platform that would fit more compatibly with my skillset and needs. Since then, my course-building and marketing capabilities have expanded beyond how much skill I used to have when I was a rookie, and so it was fitting for me to move over to other services that would match my increasing demand. Kajabi Discus
I am now able to call Kajabi my home, having acquired the skills, budget, and necessities that are almost expert-level. I’ve had a couple of already established colleagues as well who’ve used it to share their knowledge with the world. Kajabi can seem to offer as many tools as you need to increase your chances of success, but it should not be your only option. Some functions may not be right for you, and you shouldn’t have to struggle with them. Kajabi Discus
With years of experience, I am able to share some great alternatives to Kajabi. The following three course-building platforms are among those that I’ve personally used to make and sell my content before Kajabi. Take note that, among the three, you might find one that has whatever you’re looking for in a service. Additionally, I encourage you to do more background research into any of them to help solidify your final decision.
#1: Thinkific
Kajabi and Thinkific are two of the most popular online course management platforms. Thinkific is well-known for its innovative selection of tools that can be used to create courses and foster a community. Its beginner-friendly accessibility makes it easy for anyone to use.
It also has partly an advantage in its set of plans – Thinkific’s equivalent to the Kajabi Basic tier lets you create unlimited courses and students for only $74 per month, and its free plan is a great way for absolute newbies to start their journey in edupreneurship. Although Thinkific and Kajabi offer nearly identical features and can be used by both experts and beginners, there are certain aspects that may make one more appealing than the other.
#2: Teachable
Teachable is another popular service that has a good reputation and a lot of clout. It excels in the creation of enriching course content. It contains a slew of competitive and comprehensive course management features, including native certification, drag-and-drop editing, and additional course options including one-on-one coaching sessions.
The payment gateway support for Teachable is also diverse, allowing users to add Google Pay and Apple Pay options, in addition to credit/debit and e-wallet. While its dynamic course-building has helped get Teachable to where it is today, it does lack in other aspects, most notably its community-building capabilities. Teachable may be the right match for you if you aren’t bothered by any of these or prefer to concentrate more on course-building.
#3: Podia
Podia is one the most underrated course-building websites. It has a great user experience and offers a wide range of tools. Advertised as a creator-friendly platform, most individuals who’ve used Podia to make and sell digital products have found it extremely easy to navigate through its interface.
Its ability to pack as many features as possible in a very affordable pricing plan has been praised by users. The most premium plan is available for as low as $166/month, which is a fraction of Kajabi’s $119/mo start tier. Podia might be a better option if you are looking to grow your edupreneur following but have limited budget.
Kajabi: The Bottom Line
There is without a shadow of a doubt that Kajabi lives up to its branding as the all-in-one place for managing course content. It surprisingly excels in most (if not all) of the ways you might expect – course-making (to some degree), sales and promoting, websites, heck, even customer support, too!

While Kajabi’s offerings and platform help create an opportunity for dynamic usage, we can’t fully gloss over its limits. I’ve had some issues with its lack of other core and advanced tools, plus extra marketing and product management options.
The confusion with the editing layout doesn’t help either. The interface was not what I expected when I first explored the website editor. Perhaps it was my insatiable desire to use the editor, to the point that I forgot to read the instructions or my recurring practice of dragging and dropping into any editor.
There is some learning curve, but it’s worth it! Kajabi can help you not only build your career but also grow and develop it into a successful one. If you’re either already established or have enough resources to begin your edupreneur career, head on over now to Kajabi.com!
FAQ Kajabi Discus
Are Kajabi-made sites reliable and safe to use?
I may not be that well-versed in terms of building websites, but I can attest that Kajabi-made websites are impressively good so far. Not only will your website receive free hosting provided by the platform itself. It will also come with an SSL safety certificate, fast video hosting thanks to Wistia, and a generally adept user interface. Stability and loading are also flawless, so you can rest assured that you will be in great hands.
Does Kajabi support third-party integrations?
Kajabi doesn’t require you to integrate with third party platforms. All course-building tools and marketing tools can be found in one location. If you want to maximize your use, however, Kajabi currently has ten native integrations to third-party apps. This includes Zapier. It also has an API tool that lets you manually connect with other platforms – that is, if you know how to code well.
Does Kajabi offer a mobile app?
Yes! Kajabi offers a mobile app that is available in the Apple App Store as well as Google Play for Android. This app allows subscribers and members to view and read text messages, view photos, videos, answer quizzes, and communicate with each other from any location. You and your students will have access to your course materials from anywhere, but you won’t be able to manage them.
