Kajabi allows you to do many things.
- You can create courses by either building them up from its offering of templates or doing it all from scratch;

The Growth Tier allows you to explore most of the features, plus upgrades like 10,000 customers, ten administrators for one site, advanced automations and the Kajabi affiliate programme. You can also remove all Kajabi branding and from your website and courses.
Meanwhile, Kajabi Pro further expands the number of features with access to the code editor, on top of level-up upgrades like an allowance for 100 products and 100 funnels, 20,000 customers, three websites, and a total of 25 admin users.
Unfortunately, it does not currently offer a free plan. But, despite this, Kajabi does offer a free 14-day trial for each of its available plans. So, if you want to give it a test drive, now may be the perfect chance.
A common criticism Kajabi has received is how expensive the price range is compared to other platforms, as some offer their version of premium plans starting at a quarter or even half the price of Kajabi’s Basic tier. Kajabi’s premium plans can seem a little too expensive for those who have used them before. Based on my experience, however, I can empathize somewhat with Kajabi’s premium plans. Courses and Products
In Kajabi’s terms, products refer to any type of digital course you’re bound to make. You can also use it to refer to other forms of the course content. As of this writing, Kajabi offers seven different types of products. Each product can be used as a template or blueprint that you can immediately generate and modify. One of those is an Online Course in which you’re allowed to create a content-filled course with as many lessons and media files and as much information as possible. The other is, straight-up, a Blank blueprint where you can simply start from scratch and add whatever you wish to add.

- Mini-courses are great for when you need a quick and easy course to give away or as a bonus. They can be used to increase brand awareness and build anticipation for the future.
- Evergreen Training, also known as Drip Courses gives you a strategic framework. Course lessons are released regularly, preferably over a number of weeks.
- The Coaching Program is designed by Wall Street bestseller Brendan Burchard. It allows you to create a 12-week coaching program to help you improve your skills.
- Membership – This is for when all of your content needs are met in one platform that your subscribers can access at any time.
- Community – for when you want to create a space where you and your members can communicate and share thoughts about your courses and more
The Course Building Process
Once you have chosen your preferred product template, it is time to start building your course. Add whatever else is needed. You can either start from scratch or adapt an existing template. The best thing is to incorporate all of the knowledge and skills that you have acquired over the years into an information-rich course.
As you navigate through Kajabi’s course builder page, you’ll get to explore a multitude of customization and editing options. You may add the title of the course as well as the sections that make up the course, upload a thumbnail or poster image that suits what you’re aiming and adjust the flow of your entire outline.

Exploring Kajabi’s Course Player
For every course, there needs to be a place where they can be presented for anyone to see, click, and go further – and an attractive one, too. Kajabi’s Course Player feature is precisely what it aims to be, with an optimized platform to store and present your products to the students that are subscribed to them. You can customize the courses and the course player to create a better learning experience.
Kajabi has over 10 default course player themes to choose from. In other platforms, you may notice most may have only three themes or only one in-store. Compare that with Kajabi’s wider range, all you’ll notice the difference right away. It has more options. You can choose from any of the course theme themes and customize it as you wish. Since Kajabi prioritizes convenience as best as possible, you won’t need to learn code just to make your course player look good. You can upload your customized theme if you are more proficient in web design.
Interactions between Instructors and Students. Assessments
Communication is key to a student’s success and a means to gain the trust of the instructor. Kajabi offers many ways for members and you to interact. The Community feature is one of these. You can offer it as a separate product or as part of your membership package. It functions like a social media page where you and your subscribers write, see who’s online, share posts, and make comments relating to the lessons you’ve put out. You can manage, hide or disable comments for every lesson.
Assessments are a great way to keep your members interested. This involves creating quizzes that reflect the lessons they’ve learned to stimulate their brains. There are different types of questions that you may use to create an assessment, from multiple-choice questions to paragraph fill-ins. To encourage students to do better, you may set a passing score. If not, don’t give them any pressure.
Although Kajabi’s assessment tool may be impressive, it is quite obvious that it lacks delivery. Kajabi appears to be the only course-building service that doesn’t offer native certification tools, which is a significant difference from other services. It’s not something I mind, but it may be a problem for those who enjoy giving out certificates. This one asset would have been a great way to reward students for their accomplishments, such as finishing the course.
Website Building Tools
Kajabi’s ability to provide powerful, yet easy tools for creating websites is another important aspect. Kajabi has a built-in website builder that allows you to create and customize a fully-functioning website of your own without the need to rely on external providers. The platform offers free hosting for all plans.
Although the Kajabi website builder can be very easy to use, there are times when it can be confusing. Drag-and-drop is available for the editor. However, it is not what you would expect. Instead of “drag/drop the blocks/widgets out of the menu and place them in the workspace”, you can drag sections of a page from top to bottom from the left-hand navigation menu. The workspace will then reflect the changes.
Website Themes and Customization

This can be done by adding or removing each page’s construction blocks. These include the standard home page which normally contains the gist of what your business or service offers, a library to house all the content you’ve uploaded on Kajabi, a functioning store where users can purchase your products on the spot, and, especially, landing and sales pages to help convince new customers to try out your content for themselves.

For every Kajabi-optimized theme, you have the option to delete or add any page you like. There are more page options for you to explore other than home and landing pages, such as a log-in page, thank-you page, 404 error screen, portfolio, FAQ, policies, opt-in pages, and a coming soon page. If you happen to have blogging as part of your specialties or skills, there is a separate blogging page that lets you compile your published posts into an archive that readers can look into at any time.
Blogging Capabilities
Speaking of blogging pages, did you know that Kajabi has a built-in blogging feature that allows you to create posts and publish them for anyone to see? Blogs can be used to publish articles on a wide range of topics. Well, Kajabi’s version has much of the same purpose.

Kajabi’s pre-made, well-designed pipelines are ready to use and customizable. It houses a total of 14 templates (seven for default templates, the other seven for legacy ones).
Each one is tailored to your product promotion needs. You may give away freebies to your potential subscribers to keep them interested, show your courses in a way they can be tempted to purchase, coach them, or hold a Zoom meeting. The sales pipeline blueprints have been a huge help in increasing traffic to my content and generating leads.
Kajabi’s collection selling pipelines, like other popular courses platforms, are simple and straightforward. The blueprints are automatically created for you, so it doesn’t take any special skills. A Kajabi sales funnel contains cards, which, in turn, contain pages, automations, and sequences that your customers will be greeted upon.
E-mail Marketing and Automations
E-mail marketing is a reliable strategy for businesses of any size. It can be used to promote new releases by musicians or to update your customers about new and current items at your favorite retailers. Kajabi’s CRM section (also known as People if you sign-in) allows you to monitor the activities of your members remotely. You can see who bought your products, who subscribed to your membership and track their progress. You can also see who has been inactive longer.
Check out the profile of one of your students to learn more about them. This is where you see their lifecycle or how long they’ve purchased your course, as well as detailed info including the time and date of when they first signed in. Kajabi’s People feature can be useful in checking who has performed poorly and giving them a boost with feedback notes and, if necessary, a few freebies to get them back on track.
Kajabi’s CRM features go beyond the People dashboard. Course assessments and affiliate management are included in the bundle. The former has been discussed in detail before, but the latter is something we are about to discover.

As a way of expanding its reach, a successful business can recruit affiliates. The Kajabi Affiliate Program is only available to Pro and Growth plan users. It provides them with a few resources to help transform their members into trusted affiliates for your brand. You simply need to convince your most active students to sign up for the program. They may also be eligible to receive a portion of your earnings.
With Kajabi Affiliates, not only could you get to build a stronger following. You could also have more chances of generating extra clicks and elevating the conversion rate of your content. Kajabi provides native integrations to the payment gateways Stripe and PayPal. Because PayPal is a common method of online payment, Stripe handles credit and debit cards. Take note, though, that you may need to pay service fees to whichever payment gateway you plan to use – technically, you’d have your revenue deducted in some capacity, but not in a major way.

The Cons

- It lacks advanced features like custom tracking for affiliates and inventory tracking, but it does have a management feature.
