Looking for a concise Kajabi review? If you’re stepping into the world of course creation yet having a hard time choosing the right platform to set your plans into motion, you’ve come to the right place!
I’ve been delving my hands into creating and selling courses based on the content I’ve had experience with, and I’ve even made money from doing so. Although it can be difficult, the end result is well worth it. While this includes laying out the materials worth putting out to the public and other stuff like sales, the software/program used plays an equally important role.
Since I began, I’ve used a handful of platforms to promote my courses, but none of them hold up better than Kajabi. And today, I’ll be talking about what it is, how it works, everything in between, and, lastly, my honest opinion after using it for longer. Let’s begin!
For those of you who prefer a more visual experience, here is a video review from Legit Marketing Reviews’ YouTube channel. To get a comprehensive overview of Kajabi, you may still want to check out our article below.
What is Kajabi? Kajabi Owner
Kajabi is an online course-building service that has been popularly known for its unique trait as a one-stop platform and the go-to place for all course business needs. If building and selling content for profit is your goal or forte, its outstanding variety of features and tools make it easy to get to whatever you want.
Kajabi allows you to create courses that are based on your skills and profession. However, it is an all-in-one platform, so there’s more to it than what it can offer. More than the traditional course, you can also create an exclusive membership subscription, host an intimate coaching program, run a podcast, and even send out newsletter e-mails to your customers with its state-of-the-art automation features.
Kajabi is very easy to use. For a platform as jam-packed and well-versed as it is, it’s impressive to note that its user experience manages to be as convenient and fuss-free as possible. I’ve gone to Kajabi plenty of times now, and I can say that I appreciate that I didn’t have to learn any advanced technical jargon just to use its features. No need to do some extra coding, as Kajabi handles the rest for you, saving you time and effort in the long run.
Kajabi allows users to create websites that host their course content. This is something not all course builders have. There is so much potential for selling courses that Kajabi offers many marketing and sales tools to help promote them to a wider audience. These include checkouts and payments as well as detailed analytics and integrations. This is especially useful if your content is sold as products.
It doesn’t stop there. Aside from making content and selling them efficiently, Kajabi has a rich library of resources and support that you can always fall back into anytime a problem arises. You can learn valuable information, improve your earning potential, and access a large database of videos and help articles.
It’s easy to see why Kajabi is a favorite among content entrepreneurs. If you somehow don’t believe in it yet, then maybe this Trustpilot rating can convince you – take a look at the reviews and you’ll see more are liking it so far! Kajabi Owner
Kajabi was founded more than a decade back and has since helped to build over 100k businesses. It has also managed the creation of 300k+ products, from newsletters to courses, and earned $4 billion in sales. While we can appreciate how well-loved this platform is when it comes to course-building, we can’t ignore some of its lapses, such as its pricey plans and lack of other crucial features such as certifications and other advanced tools.
Using Kajabi in a Nutshell: How It Works
Since I found this platform, I have never been happier to have Kajabi be my place to promote the skills I already know and sell them to others who are interested in learning. And to know more about how much I like it, it’s better this way if we dive deeper into how it works.

Kajabi allows you to do many things.
- You can either build your courses from the templates provided or create them from scratch.
- You can create any type of website you like to display your content. It could be your homepage/store, your course content landing page, or a space for customers to visit. Kajabi Owner
- You can sell any product, whether it’s free, a bonus, or a subscription.
- You can use its marketing, reporting and sales functions to reach more people, from affiliates to sales funnel blueprints.
Kajabi can be used to create products and sell them in a unique platform. Or to simply host other content and solutions on the website.
I’ve personally used Kajabi for the first and primary reason why it was established in the first place – to make, host, and sell content that I’ve always been confident in putting. But, either way, its impressive capacities have created this service a leading platform for sharing new things with people from all walks of life.
Kajabi’s Pricing Plans
Kajabi currently offers three pricing options:
- The Basic Plan, which costs as low as $119/month (billed annually from here onward),
- The Growth Plan starts at $159/month
- The Pro Plan, which costs $319/month.
With the Basic plan, you’re allowed to come up with three products and three sales funnels, create unlimited landing pages and marketing e-mails, gain up to 1000 active customers, and have the opportunity to create a website with hosting provided by Kajabi itself.
The Growth tier lets you explore mostly the same features as the previous one, plus upgrades such as 10,000 customers, ten admin users for one website, advanced automations, the Kajabi affiliate program, and the ability to remove all Kajabi branding from your site and courses.
Meanwhile, Kajabi Pro further expands the number of features with access to the code editor, on top of level-up upgrades like an allowance for 100 products and 100 funnels, 20,000 customers, three websites, and a total of 25 admin users.
It cannot currently offer a completely free plan, which may be unfortunate for those who may be wondering if there ever was one. Kajabi offers a 14-day free trial on all of its plans. So, if you want to give it a test drive, now may be the perfect chance.
Kajabi is often criticized for its high price range. Some platforms offer premium plans at half or even a quarter of the cost of Kajabi’s Basic tier. Those who have encountered Kajabi’s premium plans may find the pricing a bit of a reach, especially for the first time. But based on my experience, I think I kind of empathize with the platform knowing that it went all out with its services and user experience, so it makes sense why the pricing was this way.
Kajabi’s Features: A Complete Breakdown
As a one-stop place for all business and content needs, Kajabi is committed to making sure you have enough resources to step into the entrepreneurial world. You can expect more from Kajabi than you might think. Let’s now take a look at some of the key features of the platform and break them down one-by-one.
Course Creation and Management
The ability to create meaningful course content is at the heart of many full-fledged platforms that specialize in educational entrepreneurship (edupreneurship, if you will), Kajabi included. But the task of course building isn’t always so easy to the point where you could take it for granted. It takes weeks of meticulous brainstorming to spread the content crafted from hard work to the masses. Kajabi Owner

Kajabi understands the struggle many creators often face, so that’s why it took extra steps to ensure that everything goes according to plan, all while easing the difficulties most individuals can relate to. With that in mind, Kajabi offers its users a go-to space where they can create impactful courses and, at the same time, are provided with all the necessary tools to further their reach – from how to attract potential subscribers with convincing teasers to sharing what they know using unique approaches to make them stay longer.
Courses and Products
According to Kajabi, products can refer to any digital course that you are bound to take. You can also use it to refer to other forms of the course content. On one hand, some similar platforms refer to those products as, simply, courses, given their more educational nature. Kajabi on the other hand, understands the importance of the term. It’s not only the amount of knowledge that goes into making a product feasible, but also how it sells to people around the world.
Kajabi currently offers seven types of products. Each is available as a blueprint, or template, that you can generate and edit right away once you’ve selected one. An Online Course is one of these. You can create as many lessons, media files and information as you like. The other is, straight-up, a Blank blueprint where you can simply start from scratch and add whatever you wish to add.
Kajabi also offers other product blueprints, including the blank template and main course.
- Mini-courses – for whenever you want to produce a quick, easy-to-digest course as a freebie or bonus, something to build extra value for your brand and anticipation for what’s to come
- Evergreen Training, also known as Drip Courses gives you a strategic framework. Course lessons are released regularly, preferably over a number of weeks.
- Coaching Program – designed by Wall Street bestselling author Brendan Burchard, lets you create an intimate 12-week program as a means to enhance your skills to the next level
- Membership – for when you want to store all your content in one central platform where your subscribers can explore anytime
- Community – for when you want to create a space where you and your members can communicate and share thoughts about your courses and more
The Course Building Process
After selecting your preferred product blueprint, it’s now time to build your course by adding whatever needs to be added. Whether you do it from scratch or tailor it from an existing template, the next best thing you must do is incorporate all the knowledge and skills you’ve collected through the years into an information-enriched course.
As you navigate through Kajabi’s course builder page, you’ll get to explore a multitude of customization and editing options. You may add the title of the course as well as the sections that make up the course, upload a thumbnail or poster image that suits what you’re aiming and adjust the flow of your entire outline.
Additionally, you may upload downloadable PDFs, attach media files, utilize bulk uploads powered by cloud storage software, and add e-mail automations, among other things. You can also use Kajabi’s course creator to create clones and add announcements within your course to keep students interested.
The Course Framework
In Kajabi, the sections that comprise the course are referred to as categories, while the lessons placed under those categories are named posts. Each category under a product may be a placeholder for distinct subtopics that are adjacent to the main topic. Similar applies to posts. The subtopics under the primary topic are replaced by lessons under each one.
Kajabi allows you to add categories to the posts. This is especially useful if you have a large curriculum and want to break it down into manageable parts that your students can understand.
> > Click Here to Check Out Kajabi < <
Kajabi allows you to choose whether the product’s contents are released periodically or simultaneously. In its Drip Courses, especially, you may choose the Drip option to set the release duration of the categories within a few days or even a week from each other. You may also opt for the Lock feature to block students’ access to any category unless they finish a prerequisite.
Exploring Kajabi’s Course Player
For every course, there needs to be a place where they can be presented for anyone to see, click, and go further – and an attractive one, too. Kajabi’s Course Player feature is precisely what it aims to be, with an optimized platform to store and present your products to the students that are subscribed to them. The customization capabilities extend beyond the courses themselves and into the course player, encouraging a better learning experience for everyone involved.
Kajabi offers over 10 themes for default course players. In other platforms, you may notice most may have only three themes or only one in-store. Compare that with Kajabi’s wider range, all you’ll notice the difference right away. It has more options. While Kajabi may seem too expensive for many, we can still appreciate the privilege it offers us. Kajabi Owner
Choose any of the course player themes, and you’ll be given the chance to customize it however you want it to look, from the images and colors down to the fonts and graphics. Kajabi values convenience above all else, so you don’t have to know how to code to make your course player look great. You can upload your customized theme if you are more proficient in web design.
Instructor-Student Interactions and Assessments
Communication is crucial to student success and an opportunity to earn the trust of the instructor. Kajabi offers many ways for members and you to interact. The Community feature is one of these. You can offer it as a separate product or as part of your membership package. It functions like a social media page where you and your subscribers write, see who’s online, share posts, and make comments relating to the lessons you’ve put out. Another comes in the form of comments under every lesson – you may choose to manage, hide, or even disable them altogether.
Assessments are a great way to keep your members interested. This involves creating quizzes that reflect the lessons they’ve learned to stimulate their brains. There are different types of questions that you may use to create an assessment, from multiple-choice questions to paragraph fill-ins. You may even set a passing score to encourage your students to do better… or don’t at all if you’re not into giving them more pressure.
As great as Kajabi’s assessment feature may seem, it’s a bit apparent that it may fall short a bit when it comes to delivery. Compared to other course-building services, Kajabi seems to be one of the few that don’t offer native certification tools. It’s not something I mind, but it may be a problem for those who enjoy giving out certificates. Having this one asset in Kajabi would have been helpful to reward students easily for their achievements such as finishing the course.
Website Building Tools
Kajabi’s ability to provide powerful, yet easy tools for creating websites is another important aspect. Kajabi has a built-in website builder that allows you to create and customize a fully-functioning website of your own without the need to rely on external providers. The platform offers free hosting for all plans.
The Kajabi website builder is also easy to navigate, although there are times when the interface can be a bit confusing. The drag-and-drop techniques apply to the editor, but it’s not what you would expect – instead of the usual “drag the blocks/widgets from the menu and drop them into the workspace,” you just drag to rearrange sections of a page from the top to bottom on the left-hand menu, and the workspace, once updated, will reflect the change.
Website Themes and Customization
Kajabi’s website creator allows you to choose from 14 themes (eight regular themes and six heritage themes) along with a complete set of pages. Once you’ve found the theme of choice for your website, you may go ahead and customize it however you want based on your flow or vision. Kajabi Owner
You may do so by adding or deleting each page’s building blocks, which comprise many types of content such as text and font styles, media widgets, pricing, offers, FAQs, and testimonials. To grab the attention of your audience, you can include countdown widgets and fill-in forms as well as social media content and call-to-action buttons.
The customization doesn’t stop there with building blocks, as Kajabi offers a few alternative ways to personalize your website. You can adjust the theme settings tab to make your website more personal or fit the needs of your business. With it, you may change the site’s default typography, icons, color scheme, or even the background of a whole page to a different color or profile.
Another is simply uploading a fully customized theme that’s not part of Kajabi’s library, just like you would with the Course Player. Kajabi allows you to connect your custom domain to the site you have just created. You may have an already-created default domain on the platform. However, if you want to maximize your business without Kajabi branding you can connect to a domain purchased through a third-party platform such as GoDaddy.
The Types of Pages for Your Website
As already mentioned, a common Kajabi website theme is composed of pre-made pages that link to each other even as you click on them. These include the standard home page which normally contains the gist of what your business or service offers, a library to house all the content you’ve uploaded on Kajabi, a functioning store where users can purchase your products on the spot, and, especially, landing and sales pages to help convince new customers to try out your content for themselves.
> > Click Here to Check Out Kajabi < <
For every Kajabi-optimized theme, you have the option to delete or add any page you like. You have more options than just landing and home pages. These include a log-in page and thank-you screen, portfolio, FAQ and policies pages. You can also create a blog page if blogging is part of your specialty or skill. This allows you to compile all your published posts into an archive that readers have access to at any time.
Blogging Capabilities
Kajabi’s built-in blogging function allows you to publish posts to your blog and make them visible to everyone. Blogs can be used to publish articles on a wide range of topics. Kajabi’s version serves much the same purpose.
Kajabi’s blog tools can be used to update your readers on products and content that you are planning to release. Kajabi Owner
It works in the same way as other well-recognized blogging platforms like WordPress. You simply type the words you want, the media files and hyperlinks you want to share and the tags you feel are more appropriate for your post. You can choose to publish the post immediately or schedule it to be published later. Kajabi’s blogging feature may not have the same dynamic prowess as WordPress’s, but it’s functional enough for anyone to use.
Marketing, Sales, and CRM
In course management, how you market and sell your products can either make or break your brand standing. An effective marketing strategy has a better chance for your creations to gain clout and revenue. Otherwise, a poorly-organized one may lead to low to zero turnouts. The process of planning how to make products as sellable as possible can be such a daunting task, and Kajabi remedies this by providing an impressive suite of marketing and sales tools designed to maximize your platform and ease your convenience. Plus, it surprisingly outdoes its other top contemporaries in this field, in my opinion!
Convenient Sales Pipelines
A well-designed funnel can lead to greater opportunities for your company. However, designing one can be difficult, especially if it’s not something you are very familiar with. Kajabi’s pre-made, well-designed pipelines are ready to use and customizable. It houses a total of 14 templates (seven for default templates, the other seven for legacy ones).
Each of these is specialized for how you want to promote your products – you may give out freebies to potential subscribers to keep them enticed, showcase your courses in a way that leads them straight to the sales page, run a coaching campaign, or even hold a Zoom meeting to increase leads. Sales pipeline blueprints are a big help in generating leads and increasing traffic leading to my content, and I honestly have never been glad to be able to use them.
As with some popular course platforms that have this feature, Kajabi’s collection sales pipelines are convenient and straightforward, plus it requires zero expert skills to get things right as the blueprint is automatically laid out for you. A Kajabi sales funnel contains cards, which, in turn, contain pages, automations, and sequences that your customers will be greeted upon.
Marketing by E-mail and Automations
E-mail marketing is a reliable strategy for businesses of any size. It can be used to promote new releases by musicians or to update your customers about new and current items at your favorite retailers. The same can be said for courses and other learning materials – Kajabi’s built-in e-mail marketing feature helps keep your members and potential customers highly engaged with the content you’ve released.
You might be interested in two types of e mail campaigns: email broadcasts, which you can use to send one email to your subscribers about your courses (like a newsletter) and sequences that you create messages based on user activity using automations. It may seem familiar to some, but it can be a time-saver for those who don’t know much about e-mail automations. Kajabi Owner
Automations are generally designed to reduce the workload. In this instance, you won’t need to send e-mails manually as you can set them to correspond to student actions. Kajabi’s email sequencing feature allows you to create messages and choose the time they should be sent. You can also tag subscribers that meet certain conditions and put them into different categories.
You can create e-mails in Kajabi, as well as automations and campaigns. The platform has a variety of templates that you can choose and use, and its e-mail editor allows you to edit how you want it to look the same way you’d do with website pages – tweak the hierarchy of your building blocks from top to bottom, add sections, and, if you have an eye for design, switch up the color palette and upload images to further set the mood.

CRM for managing members
It can be difficult to manage individuals who have subscribed to your courses. This is especially true if the platform you use for this purpose is not stable. Kajabi and other course management tools have functional CRM (customer relationship management) tools.
Kajabi’s CRM section, also known by its term People if you sign in, allows you to check on the activities of your members from afar. You may get to see who purchased any of your products or subscribed to your membership, track the progress if they’re doing well or not, see who’s been inactive for longer, and even go through a list of e-mail contacts that have been hard bounced for reasons such as an invalid domain.
Check out the profile of one of your students to learn more about them. This is where you see their lifecycle or how long they’ve purchased your course, as well as detailed info including the time and date of when they first signed in. Kajabi’s People can help you see who is performing poorly and give them feedback and, if needed, some freebies to get them on the right track.
Kajabi’s CRM features go beyond the People dashboard. Course assessments and affiliate management are included in the bundle. We’ve already talked about the former earlier in full detail, but we haven’t come across the latter yet, which is what we’re exactly about to do shortly.
Kajabi Affiliate Program
A successful business creates the opportunity to recruit affiliates as a way to expand its reach. The Kajabi Affiliate Program is only available to Pro and Growth plan users. It provides them with a few resources to help transform their members into trusted affiliates for your brand. You simply need to convince your most active students to sign up for the program. They may also be eligible to receive a portion of your earnings.
Kajabi Affiliates will help you build a bigger following. You could also have more chances of generating extra clicks and elevating the conversion rate of your content. If you’re already established in the industry you’re working in, you might find this one practical as you can manage and track your affiliates and how they’re doing to boost your leads and profit from the comforts of a specialized separate dashboard. Kajabi Owner
You get to send them links to be shared, see how many clicks those links have received, track the potential sales to your products, and have the choice to kick one out if you’re unsatisfied. To encourage members to sign up and share announcements, you can create an affiliate onboarding page. This will allow you to generate links to any website, not just Kajabi.
Sales, Payments, and Accurate Analytics
Most course management services often take a little bit of, too much of, or half the percentage of your profits made from selling courses. Kajabi ensures that you get the money you make from selling courses. One thing I like about Kajabi the most is that it lets me keep 100% of my revenue from selling my products – this gave me a huge morale boost that I wouldn’t usually get from other platforms.
I may understand why they had to take cuts as a means to sustain their business model, but for the edupreneurs who are eager to improve, this can be seen as a bit of a disadvantage. Fortunately, Kajabi has a solution to further let them grow, even despite the high price range. You can control how refunds are handled, in addition to the advantage of keeping your earnings private. Kajabi isn’t that strict when it comes to this issue, giving its users the chance to do whatever they want – they can either let their members have access to their content even after requesting a refund or otherwise.
Kajabi offers native integrations with the payment gateway outlets Stripe and PayPal. Stripe takes care of primarily credit and debit cards as well as e-wallet providers, and there’s no need to explain further about PayPal since it’s a very common mode of payment online. You may have to pay service fees for the payment gateway that you use. Technically, your revenue would be deducted, but not significantly.
Do you want to get in-depth insight to improve your business? Kajabi’s reporting and analytics features are just two ways you can do this. The analytics has ratings, charts, and graphs that clearly show how your courses are doing so far, with accuracy close to a T. Meanwhile, you can explore a list of reporting options to choose from and view, from net revenue and sales performance to website views and subscription metrics. All the data from these features can be printed and exported to other platforms. Kajabi Owner
Customer Service and Support
It’s not just a rich array of features that make Kajabi stand out. The platform’s customer support has received a overwhelmingly positive response from those who have used it to do business.
Its customer service hotlines, for example, serve as reliable outlets for people to ask whenever they need assistance on the spot or have any questions in mind. If you’re too shy to ask, you can always explore Kajabi’s expansive library of learning resources to guide you along the way. We have a lot of useful stuff to look through. Let’s go over each one.
Team of Customer Service Representatives available on-demand
Kajabi’s customer support team is split into ticket support and chat support. The chat support service, which is backed by marketing and course creation experts, can be accessed by all users, regardless of their plan type. The only difference is the time it’s available. Those under the Basic plan can only access the chat feature during office hours. Growth and Pro users, meanwhile, get to utilize it 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You can rest assured that no matter which plan you choose, you will receive a prompt answer within 15 minutes. Kajabi Owner
If you don’t feel like chatting or want to be distracted, you can submit a request ticket. You can simply enter the inquiry that you are interested in, the appropriate category, your email address and attachments and send them all to Kajabi. Within a few hours, you will receive an email from the customer service team in your inbox.
Kajabi Help Center
Kajabi’s Help Center offers unlimited access and allows you to reach out to other people online in real-time. Kajabi Owner
Organized into a variety of topics to help you get started, it’s filled to the brim with articles, pictures, and videos, all of which are enriched with invaluable and enlightening information. These include information on setting up your website, creating a sales funnel, and navigating through your account dashboard.

Kajabi Access
Kajabi Access is one of Kajabi’s most recent offerings. It gives entrepreneurs support and guidance to help them succeed in their industry. You can add it to any existing plan at $99 per month. Although the price is higher than those of the other tiers, we know enough about Kajabi to say that it’s worth it. Kajabi Owner
Kajabi Access will allow you to have one-on-one conversations with Kajabi’s experts. However, this is limited to six times per year. Not only that but you’ll also be gifted with double the allowance for products and funnels, the weekly Hero Hub sessions, and early access to Kajabi’s latest products and features.
Kajabi University
Similar to Kajabi Access, Kajabi University is a jam-packed learning source geared toward guiding fresh entrepreneurs with tips and tricks on how to run a successful business. While the former achieves it mainly through intimate encounters with bona fide experts and noteworthy upgrades, the latter does it by letting you sift through a rich library of informative courses that you can enroll in – and download – at any time. Kajabi Owner
Kajabi University’s content is broken down into specific boot camps, how-to guides sets, difficulty levels, as well as niche topics. These courses last anywhere from six to four hours and can be as short as six minutes long. The courses cover a range of topics that Kajabi needs, including a guide for beginners to creating your first lesson and a series of marketing techniques hosted by real-life professionals.
Webinars, Meet-ups, and a Community of Heroes
Kajabi is a platform that supports the community of people who helped to build it from the ground up. This is something I love about it. And it does so in a way similar to how it champions user convenience and accommodations to leverage the standing of its users. Kajabi Owner
Kajabi offers entrepreneurs from all walks of life a variety of outlets where they can interact with one another – and inspire each other to be at their very best. Such ways include live and on-demand webinars featuring talks from and discussions with experts and distinguished guests, virtual meet-ups where fellow Kajabi creators can connect and share pieces of advice, and exclusive access to the official private Facebook community of Kajabi Heroes. Kajabi Owner
Speaking of Kajabi Heroes, it’s worth noting that, apart from the online interactions, Kajabi takes it seriously when it comes to giving its user base the best it has to offer – not just figuratively, but literally. Kajabi fondly dubs each customer who has channeled their efforts into success using the platform a “Hero.” Its Hero Rewards program sees any Hero receive gifts and freebies delivered straight to their door once they reach certain milestones. These include a stationery set, clothing merch, accessories such as bags, reusable cups and mugs, and even honorary badges!
Kajabi’s Pros and Cons
You may be already impressed with the number of options the Kajabi platform offers. It has its flaws, but they don’t overshadow its strengths. Let’s look at all of Kajabi’s pros and cons!
The Pros:
- It has a sleek and well-organized general user interface, resulting in a robust and fully functional experience for those who navigate it
- It’s convenient, flexible, and almost entirely easy to use – from the course and website building to payments
- It provides free website hosting and lets you build a fully functioning one. This is something that a few course management platforms can’t offer.
- It houses a plethora of excellent in-house tools from marketing down to user management – this minimizes the need to integrate with third-party apps
- Its customization capabilities are not just simple but also robust
- You’d pay no service fees and it would take zero percent of your profits.
- It offers a social media-like feed that allows you and your family members to interact and communicate with each other
- It shines in its reliable customer support system and information-rich learning resource library
- It prioritizes its user base community over all other features.
> > Click Here to Check Out Kajabi < <
The Cons:
- It is more expensive than other course-building platforms. This is due to the fact that it uses a different business model and framework. The user doesn’t have to be burdened by it.
- It does not have a native tool for recognizing students. It also lacks assessment features, such as the inability of setting the length of each question or uploading question files.
- It lacks advanced features like custom tracking for affiliates and inventory tracking, but it does have a management feature.
- Although the interface is flexible and intuitive, there are some functions that can be difficult to use.
Alternatives to Kajabi
It took me many years of research and skillful thinking to find the right course management platform for me when I started my journey into educational entrepreneurship. Since then, my course-building and marketing capabilities have expanded beyond how much skill I used to have when I was a rookie, and so it was fitting for me to move over to other services that would match my increasing demand. Kajabi Owner
I am now able to call Kajabi my home, having acquired the skills, budget, and necessities that are almost expert-level. It has been a great resource for me to connect with colleagues who are already well-established and have shared their knowledge with the rest of the world. Kajabi can seem to offer as many tools as you need to increase your chances of success, but it should not be your only option. Some functions may not be right for you, and you shouldn’t have to struggle with them. Kajabi Owner
Thankfully, backed with years of experience down the line, I can confidently share with you some very useful alternatives to the Kajabi service. These three platforms allow you to create and sell your content. You might find the right service for you among these three. To help you make a decision, I recommend that you do additional research on any one of them.
#1: Thinkific
Thinkific joins Kajabi among the leading online course management platforms making waves to this day. Thinkific is well-known for its innovative selection of tools that can be used to create courses and foster a community. Its beginner-friendly accessibility makes it easy for anyone to use.
It also has partly an advantage in its set of plans – Thinkific’s equivalent to the Kajabi Basic tier lets you create unlimited courses and students for only $74 per month, and its free plan is a great way for absolute newbies to start their journey in edupreneurship. Though Thinkific and Kajabi have a near-identical range of features and can accommodate both beginners and those with budget and expertise, it’s worth noting that there are some aspects that one may excel better than the other.
#2: Teachable
Teachable is another popular service that has a good reputation and a lot of clout. It excels in the creation of enriching course content. You will find a wide range of features that make it a competitive and complete course management tool, such as native certification, drag and drop editing and additional options like one-on-one coaching.
The payment gateway support for Teachable is also diverse, allowing users to add Google Pay and Apple Pay options, in addition to credit/debit and e-wallet. While its dynamic course-building has helped get Teachable to where it is today, it does lack in other aspects, most notably its community-building capabilities. If you don’t mind any of those or want to focus more on course-building, you may have found a match in Teachable.
#3: Podia
Podia is one the most underrated course-building websites. It has a great user experience and offers a wide range of tools. Podia is advertised as a creator-friendly platform. Most people who have used Podia to create and sell digital products find it very easy to use.
They’ve also generally admired its ability to fit as many features as it can in very budget-friendly pricing plans, with the most premium plan available at as low as $166/month – only a few dollars much cheaper than Kajabi’s $119/mo starter tier. If you want to build a following as an edupreneur but are running a bit short on budget, Podia may be, in my opinion, a more suitable place to do so.
Kajabi: The Bottom Line
There is without a shadow of a doubt that Kajabi lives up to its branding as the all-in-one place for managing course content. It surprisingly excels in most (if not all) of the ways you might expect – course-making (to some degree), sales and promoting, websites, heck, even customer support, too!

While Kajabi’s offerings and platform help create an opportunity for dynamic usage, we can’t fully gloss over its limits. I’ve had some issues with its lack of other core and advanced tools, plus extra marketing and product management options.
The confusion with the editing layout doesn’t help either. The interface was not what I expected when I first explored the website editor. Perhaps it was my insatiable desire to use the editor, to the point that I forgot to read the instructions or my recurring practice of dragging and dropping into any editor.
There is some learning curve, but it’s worth it! To sum everything up, Kajabi is a great platform to not just build your career from the ground up but also develop and expand into a thriving one. If you’re either already established or have enough resources to begin your edupreneur career, head on over now to Kajabi.com!
FAQ Kajabi Owner
Are Kajabi-made sites reliable and safe to use?
Although I don’t have a lot of experience building websites, I can tell you that Kajabi-made sites are amazing. Not only will your website receive free hosting provided by the platform itself. You will get an SSL safety certificate and Wistia video hosting. It also comes with a user-friendly interface. Stability and loading are also flawless, so you can rest assured that you will be in great hands.
Is Kajabi open to third-party integration?
With Kajabi, you wouldn’t necessarily have to integrate with third-party platforms as most course-building and marketing tools are housed in one place. If you want to maximize your use, however, Kajabi currently has ten native integrations to third-party apps. This includes Zapier. You can also connect to other platforms manually using the API tool, provided you are proficient in coding.
Is Kajabi offering a mobile app?
Yes! Kajabi currently offers a mobile application that’s available on the Apple App Store and Google Play for Android. This app allows subscribers and members to view and read text messages, view photos, videos, answer quizzes, and communicate with each other from any location. Take note that, while you and your students can access your course materials on the go, you will most likely have limited access in terms of management.
